Take that, society.

I finally have a passport! I can, at long last, cross that off my list. This one.

I've had a full on day by my lonesome. I've been in the city and had a look at some beautiful dresses, only to drop the price tags as soon as I comprehend them. My goodness, they're wonderful, but not that wonderful. Perhaps for those who have the money and can afford to spend it. All I bought was a Thai phrasebook from Dymocks, and I think it's going to be a real life saver; I don't want to be that ignorant tourist.

I've caught a bunch of trams today, and I love those moments when I just manage to catch a tram. Of course, I was running to one and it had closed its doors, but I waved my arm around a little and the driver opened them back up for me.

I've done some grocery shopping (which considered my cupcake plans for this coming weekend), and stocked up on boring things like lamb chops and rocket leaves (Team Rocket!... Salad.) I moved into my new place last Saturday (technically the last post I made was the first from my new location, not this one), and I'm really liking it so far. Grown up things like bonds and bills are something a little more to the forefront of my mind lately, so I haven't been writing much at all.

This was going on in the soft drink aisle at my local store.
... a commercial?

The trimester at uni is about to start in a couple of weeks, and I couldn't be more relieved. I'm not one for idle hands, and I've just been incredibly thankful for the waitressing to otherwise occupy me over these past five months' break. I'll be back to writing essays and grumbling about study topics that I love and honestly  fascinate me.

Hope you all are well. I recommend the blog The Observations of Lemon Custard, because it's such a unique way of looking at things, and I personally look forward to the observation topics that Lemon Custard finds to discuss from such a perspective. If there's one thing I've learned over the past couple of years, it's the power of perspective and how it behaves in the eye of the beholder.

You can't push it underground, you can't stop it screaming out...

Invincible Pictures, Images and Photos

It's interesting to consider the early riser I used to be, compared to the night owl that I've become. I cringe when I think of how energetic I was at 7am, compared to my usual burst of energy nowadays around 9pm. I'm getting ready to move house next week, and I've also been making preparations for Thailand; vaccinations and the like.

Showing a new girl the ropes at work has been quite a head spinner; teaching the waitressing habits - which have been ingrained into me so much that it's as habitual as my pre-bedtime ritual - has been something of an irony to me.

University is about to start in a few weeks; it's been a fantastic five month break, but I can't wait to get back into the essay fray.
