Get me some Nasonex, you swine!

End of winter. Sadly. Let the sneeze fest begin even more so. Only just got the symptoms of hayfever this time last year, so I'm not particularly looking forward to it. Plus I LOVE winter and the hot chocolate and rugging up in the city.

Bottled some RAHSberries today. It was somehat fun. Jewels tagged along because she was fascinated about the bottle sterilising process. Not really a big deal to us food tech students, just necessary.

Defrosting frozen ones was my last resort because I really wanted fresh ones, but I had no choice - they're not in season.

...yes, they were really put in the oven.

Once defrosted, they were squishy and deliciously sour.

Truly EPIC True Blood moment here.

This was especially tricky. Slippery, tongs, BOILING hot water. Enough said.

Looking forward to serving these with my cake next week. The syrup makes them extra sugary (I hope).

Pissed. A list. Hey, that rhymes.

What to do when you're pissed off at the world and it won't give you a break. If you're not feeling better by the time the list is over, well, eh.
  • Avoid queues no matter what.
  • Avoid parties. If there's a possibility you'll get drunk, well, that could just make things worse - and not just for you. Stay home to protect them all.
  • Buy chocolate. Cheap. Who cares if it's expired, you're the only one eating it. Don't get even more pissed because they ran out of caramello.
  • Stay up late with your chocolate and Sweeney Todd or some other awesome movie.
  • No tv shows, NO MATTER WHAT. You'll get stuck in a loop.
  • Do the fun homework. ONLY the fun homework. Because it's FUN.
  • Coax a kitty gently onto your bed and scratch its tummy. Don't get mad if their short attention span leads to them leaving.
  • Read all your cards and letters you've gotten over the past year . . . what, you don't have any? That's your own fault.
  • "When You Went" by The Vasco Era. Enough said.
  • Spend hours talking to your online friends about other things.
  • Read 'ARRY PO'AH
  • More coke drunk = more movie watching time.
  • Red licorice! Make a list about why it's awesome.
  • Having such a withdrawful day may result in your family cooking you great food. Home fried, healthier chicken AND wedges?! YUM.
  • Try not to pig out on the chocolate too much. After is fine, just not before. It'll waste the last thing I just said.
  • Try not to draw absently on your jeans. Or your hands. Paper is fine.
  • If you're feeling any better, do the boring homework. It has to be done at some stage.
  • "Stutter" by Darren Criss. Or Joe Walker, holy shit that guy can move. Take your pick. Both would be good to see.

She's got you high, and you don't even know yet.

There was a reason why this was once my theme song. When I listen now it gives me nostalgia but also joy because I know I'm changing into somebody better.

It just takes some time little girl
You're in the middle of the ride
Everything, everything will be just fine
Everything, everything will be alright.

Pumpkin pasties are DONE.

Very proud. Well it's 'ARRY PO'AH food, I have a bucketload of reasons to be proud. Now that I've had these I've never wanted to go to Hogwarts more than today. Bottling raspberries next week.

Music video is FINISHED. Proud of that too. :)

And more AVPS. I want more red licorice.

♪ Casino/Rest My Head - The Vasco Era

Hey well, it's me. Grease was AMAZING and I'm so glad I was a part of it.
Making pumpkin pasties currently for the folio. Prepping the pumpkin was FUN. Not really. Looking forward to the final product, because hey, it's 'ARRY PO'AH (*cough AVPS *cough*) food.

They're the sweet kind. I always thought them savoury, but oh well. Sweet for this time.

Work to catch up on, but I've FINISHED the music video (hopefully burning tomorrow) and getting along with the folio. Lit sac tomorrow, which I should probably prep for instead of this. :|

♪ Now I'll rest my head . . . I need a second disguise
. . . oh I've got to tell him now, after all this time . . .

Hope you're having a wonderful week.

To all the inconsiderate, snobby and disrespectful people who made my life a living hell?

Thank you.

You've made me appreciate the good things in my life. Take a bow.

BUSY

Right now, nomming on these AMAZING white choc macadamia cookies from Coles. I just got home from school about an hour-or-so late working on my music video, and I am HUNGRY. In fact, I seem to be really hungry these days. No idea why. The other day I heated up this bowl of soup and ate it; five minutes later I'm nibbling at a blueberry muffin and then still looking for more food after that. It's enough to make me say WTH.

Maybe I've been so busy that I've lost weight in the process or something. Food tech folio,
media: music video/sac study, Lit, a HUGE sac coming real soon. English, only just finished a sac yesterday, and legal is CRAZY from the amount of information I have to get crammed in my brain. :P

I could use a latte with these cookies. :P

More little packs of wonderful.

Marshmallows. Completed giftbags. Whoohoo :D

Some general backstage ponderings.

Backstage at last year's school musical was a lot of fun. So I'm doing it again this year. Grease. :)

Getting back into the swing of things inspired me to make this post. Things I've learnt and just some general thoughts. This play is FULL ON PROPS.
  • If we look bored, we probably are. But we're also on call - and I mean "GET OVER HERE THIS SECOND" for what's happening on stage. Think about that if you want to stand in the wings. Don't do it unless you have to be there, or are finding out where the play is up to for certain cues.
  • LOOK AT ME I'M INVISIBLE. Credit to Mel for that one. XD
  • If I or we are coming your way laden with props or sets, getouttatheway. Don't wait for us to yell COMING THROUGH if you can see and anticipate where we're coming and going. If I yell COMING THROUGH and you choose to ignore me, you're pretty much asking to get run over.
  • Help other backstage people. If somebody's struggling with something heavy, don't even ask to help, just DO IT. They'll be incredibly grateful.
  • Don't get angry if things go wrong or if you were told the wrong thing. Just calm down. Miscommunication is common with productions what with so many people involved. If you were told the wrong thing, don't shoot the messenger. Just get on with the show.
  • Consideration/communication of and with the actors is VITAL to the show.
  • Be on top of EVERYTHING involved in the show. To the point where you're reciting a character's prop list in your sleep.
  • If there's a series of things that have to be carried from A to B, don't hang around at B, go straight back to A in case there's something else. If you get to A and there's nothing else, you're at least absolutely sure that everything is where it has to be.
  • Enjoy the show!

AVPS.

Found these over here and here, and some other places. Won't bother to take credit for them, because let's face it, I'm not that awesome. :D
