Wanderlust will carry us home.

So I'm in Mildura as I type, with a plate of watermelon next to me as a blitz through Doctor Who. I started from the 2005 reboot; Christopher Eccleston is okay, but I've reached David Tennant and I can understand why my friend Holly was such a fangirl over him.

Tennant ties with Matt Smith on the subject matter of "who [my] Doctor is". The first episode I watched properly was The Impossible Astronaut, and he was the Doctor of the time (and still is).

I've been driving a little in the two days I've been here so far - and I really like driving. So I'm a happy lady.

Give me the hope to run out of steam.

So I handed in my application for study exchange today. I know, fireworks!

As I looked at the application, handing it over; my faculty-approved list of subjects, the touching testimonies from other people about me, my personal statement about how much I want to go, my excellent score, and my awful passport photo affixed on the front. I realised that I am, I really am, going to get this.

Thank goodness I have my passport, because if I get accepted, a whole lot of paperwork is coming my way.

But hey, it'll all be worth it. I would rather concentrate on experiencing one of these places:

rather than concentrate on this.

It feels like I've finally taken life by the throat and said, "You're going to let me get what I want. Because I am a nice person and I consider everyone else before me. Now it's my turn."

Then I have this huge smile and say thank you and let go. Because that's what ladies are supposed to do.

And don't worry, I'm a little bit broken too.

My exam went fine. I'm free for a few weeks. Things are progressing with my study exchange application; I've decided either Sweden or New York.

The 667 Dark Avenue forum is having its tenth anniversary (I've been a member for over seven years!). Seeing so many members back again for the festivities has been amazing.

I'm looking forward to working hard, and losing myself in some literature for the next few weeks.
Just like I used to.

Lauren Kate's Rapture review, spoiler free.

It was released here in Australia early due to the long weekend (Queen's Birthday on the 11th), and so I've written this review sans spoilers. There's a few people I know of here that haven't read it yet, so spoiler free is for their benefit as well, if they happen to come across this.

Rapture. The name for the concluding volume of the Fallen series just screams apocalyptic. Lauren Kate certainly did her homework when it comes to religious context, and she's made the story work.

Fear not. There were a few moments, as I was sitting in bed reading this marvellously weaved story, which made me audibly gasp and absorb the story's events and revelations. While the whole Fallen series could be criticised as being vague; this is not the case with Rapture.

Rapture is the book of answers. We find out who the important angel is that tips the scales. We discover Lucifer's motivations. We discover why Luce was treated like a porcelain doll and not expected to know better. I have to admit that I suspected Lucifer's motivations a little while through (there were hints) but it was all the more exciting for them to be known definitively within the story.

Rapture is a wonderful reward for those who have stuck with the story, and I recommend you try this series if you want something a little fun to read. Having been with the story for about three years, this was a suspenseful series to read as it was released.

You're the only one who knows, you slow it down...

I miss driving at night. You have no idea.
Source: Here.
So, Community. It's freaking brilliant.
Fantastic writing/wit. Perfect casting.
Many, many, MANY random moments.

'The City' by Ed Sheeran.
I made the banner, but everything else is not mine.

The days are starting to blur. I'm losing sense of time. Work. Exam.

Don't wait for too long.

I didn't know that you were going to be such a good thing.
Classes are finished for now. I only have the one exam left and an assignment.

I have a pile of entertainment awaiting; both books and television. Community will be next, after Angel, and Pride and Prejudice will be succeeded by titles such as Lauren Kate's Rapture, John Green's Paper Towns, David Nichollis' One Day, and many, many more. There will be reviews here.

Seriously considering a study exchange program. Paperwork and money problems are discouraging, but I know it's something I want to do. Sweden is a big possibility.

And I've been deciding on wall decoration for my room at my aunty's house. I'm making a conscious decision to stray from my adolescence and these are similar to what I've eventually decided on.

I hope you are well; may your life be full of wonderfully crazy catastrophes.
